Find out what you could discover during a four-star stay at Amarante Cannes.

Jumping International de Cannes

Stade des Hespérides

9th – 11th June 2016

As part of the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour, Jumping International de Cannes is set to attract over 15,000 visitors this summer. It was already one of the richest horse shows in the world before it became part of the 15 stop tour, and now showcases the talents of the top 30 ranked show jumpers in the world. These Olympic, world and continental champions gather to compete infront of live audiences and millions of online viewers in what’s described as ‘…the world’s premier five-star show jumping event’.

Cannes will be the 8th stop on the tour, while other destinations will include the likes of Miami Beach, Mexico City, Shanghai, Madrid, Monaco, Paris, Rome and Vienna. The city’s three-day programme will feature events such as the ‘Grand Prix Constance Prince Maurice’ on the Friday and the grand finale of the ‘Longine Global Champions Tour Grand Prix de Cannes’ on the Saturday. This line-up will also offer an opportunity to see the skills of last year’s winner Pénélope Leprevost and other competitors such as French rider Simon Delestre, who describes the tour as ‘the best competition in the world’.

Dinner is pre-bookable and will be created by local catering company Giry Traiteur, which has delivered delicious dishes for the event for the past 22 years. While those looking for B2B and B2C networking opportunities can seize the opportunity to impress by booking VIP tables. Sponsored by Swiss watchmakers Longines and located within 50 metres of the world-famous La Croisette, this is a truly glamorous event with a variety of entertainment on offer.

Cannes Lions

Palais des Festivals

18th - 25th June 2016

For those working in advertising, marketing, creative communications or associated industries, Cannes Lions should need little introduction. Describing itself as an ‘International Festival of Creativity’, this eight-day event will offer the chance to attend inspirational talks, seminars and forums from leaders in the above industries, as well as take part in workshops and masterclasses. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to network at galas, screenings, oh-so-glamorous yacht parties…and the all-important awards ceremony.

Many events will be split into three categories; Lions Health, Lions Innovation and Lions Entertainment. Lions Health will be focusing on ‘life-changing creativity’ relating to healthcare and wellbeing. Speakers will include scientists, artists and creatives including Biological Scientist James Young, whose prosthetic arm features a 3D printed bionic hand. Lions Innovation will be based around data and technology with talks from the likes of Spotify Founder and CEO Daniel Ek. While, alongside industry leaders, Lions Entertainment will see a whole host of celebrities take the stage including Mindy Kaling, Channing Tatum and Timbaland.

Other key talks not to be missed will include Co-Founder of Miramax Harvey Weinstein discussing the future of storytelling in Hollywood and Clay Bavor, the Vice President of VR at Google, offering insight into ‘Adventures in Virtual Reality'. Meanwhile, there'll also be presentations and interviews with the likes of Burberry’s Chief Creative Christopher Bailey, Artistic Director at Condé Nast Anna Wintour, and on-screen stars Simon Pegg, Will Smith and Gwyneth Paltrow. Fringe events will include demonstrations, drinks and DJ sets hosted by companies including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. However, the main attraction will be the awards for creativity, which is the industry’s biggest competition. With so many attractions and opportunities, Cannes Lions will be simply unmissable for anyone in or interested in advertising.

Cannes Collection

Vieux Port de Cannes

2nd - 5th June 2016

According to Les Echos – Le Patrimoine, the number of ultra-rich has risen 34% since 2009 and these customers value fast service, flexibility and the ability to buy immediately as part of their luxury shopping experience…which is where Cannes Collection comes in. Offering the chance to peruse and purchase a variety of goods and services from some of the most prestigious brands in the world, this comprehensive new exhibition will be sure to deliver the perfect shop-till-you-drop day out for those with deeper pockets.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann once said that “you buy it because it’s a dream”, and Cannes Collection will offer something suited to every luxurious wish and whim. Products will range from Italian jewellery designed by goldsmiths Buccellati, and leather-wrapped wooden hangars from Authentiques Paris, to private jets and custom-made yachts. Take the opportunity to invest in a seven bedroom Côte d’Azur villa, sprawling estates in The Hamptons or a trendy Berlin penthouse via John Taylor or drive away in an automobile by the likes of Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Ferrari and Jaguar-Land Rover.

However, it’s no wonder that Cannes Collection boasts such an outstanding line-up of exhibitors considering the team behind it; Bertrand Foäche and Eric de Saintdo. Foäche has helped to found leading Paris textile and fashion exhibitions including Premiere Classe and Who’s Next, while de Saintdo ran the Festival International de la Plaisance in Cannes and worked in roles such as CEO for yacht brokerage company Camper & Nicholsons. Located in the city’s beautiful old port, Cannes Collection will be the ultimate shopping event of the summer for those seeking something abit out of the ordinary.

Whether you’re interested in sports, business or leisure, Cannes is offering an outstanding line-up of prestigious events to attend this June.
