Set across four pulsating days of music conferences, competitions and no end of networking opportunities, MIDEM is the leading business event for the international music industry, which will return to Cannes’ fabled Palais des Festivals this June!

So what’s in store for the 51st edition of MIDEM? Well, perhaps most notably is the coup of Scooter Braun - the brains behind the snow-capped careers of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande - as a keynote speaker, where he will enlighten audiences about his own meteoric journey to becoming one of the entertainment industry’s biggest players.

Which will be supplemented by the 10th edition of the world’s leading music start up competition MIDEMLAB, an exploration of trailblazing new businesses at Live Music Startups, opportunities to expand your venture globally with Worldwide Village, before networking until your heart’s content at Networking Hub.

But that’s not to say it’s all work and no play at MIDEM, with the week also home to a series of exciting performances from some of the hottest musical property to emerge out of 2017! You are at the world’s leading music business event, after all.

National Rosé Day

Just in case you needed an excuse to crack open a bottle of famous Provence rosé this summer, National Rosé Day will do just that! As bars and vendors across the French Riviera open their doors (and sun soaked terraces) to supply satiating samples of the region’s favourite vino.

This is Provence, after all! The only wine district in the world which specialises in rosé, providing plentiful variations of the crisp combination of grape, which bridges the gap between red and white so perfectly.

So for the occasion - celebrated annually on the second Saturday of every June - nothing remains but for you to grab a glass and to savour in the regions finest export, which is best enjoyed ice cold in the accompaniment of the glorious Cote d’Azur sunshine.

Fête de la Musique

Every summer solstice (June 21st), France is overcome with melodious sounds of music, when Fête de la Musique takes over the country’s bars, restaurants and auditoriums; often spilling out onto sun kissed squares and flower-filled jardins. Cannes will be no different! As musicians from across the French Riviera arrive in town for this free celebration of music.

But more than a mere music festival, Fête de la Musique is a pinnacle of France’s cultural calendar, with musicians from all walks of life - from local amateur bands to classically trained orchestras; from famous DJs to traditional folk groups - all willingly providing free performances, purely for the love of music.

More oft than not, these eclectic celebrations will also run from sunrise to sunset - or even into the early hours, should you have the stamina - making for an exceptional time to visit Cannes, as you savour the scorching Southern France sun, to the backdrop of sweet sounds of music.
